Ever since I can remember, I have always loved racing, and always wanted to drive anything with a steering wheel and a gas pedal. As I got older, I tried to find ways to make them go faster, I’m still that way.

I remember back when I was around 7 or 8 years old, my dad would take me into the pits at Angel Park Speedway just outside Sun Prairie, WI. As I grew up, I got to watch drivers like Stan Fox, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Olsen, and many other great drivers. When I was 18 my dad and I went to the Indy 500 and we got to go into the pit area during Carburetion Day. Being so close to the cars, the power and technology, I knew then that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

I started building race cars with a good friend back in high school and learned the basics of race car building and setup. I worked very hard for the next 8 years learning all I could about building and setup of race cars. I continue to study all the time to this day. In 2002 I got my chance to race for the first time. I got to drive a Midwest Truck for Tyler Motorsports at Madison International Speedway, located just outside of Stoughton on Hwy 138. We finished fourth in points that year and I was named Rookie of the Year.

In 2003 I drove a Midwest Truck for Tyler Motorsports again. I was fast qualifier four times and finished sixth in the point standings. We met all our goals and felt it was time for the next step.

Racing in 2004 brought a big change. I went from driving trucks to driving cars and also running up against some of the best drivers in the Midwest. I raced in the ASA Late Model Division for Tyler Motorsports at MIS. We ran a full schedule, started every main and finished in the top five and top ten consistently. Along with MIS we ran three ASA Late Model Series events. I got to race against drivers like Matt Kenseth, Travis Kvapil, Dick Trickle, and Todd Kleuver. One of my most favorite moments of the season was qualifying seventh quick for the first time ever ASA Late Model race at MIS and started on the Pole for the 100 Lap feature. We qualified in the top ten for all three ASA Late Motel Series Races.

This year (2005) brings new goals and new challenges, along with new sponsorship. We are going to attempt to run two full schedules. One full schedule at MIS in the ASA Late Model Division and a second full schedule with the ASA Late Motel Traveling Series. Joining forces this year with Tyler Motorsports and Jason Tyler Racing is Wisconsin Union Construction Laborers’. We are very proud and pleased to have an opportunity to represent all the Union labors who work very hard everyday so that we all can have a cleaner, safer, and better place to live.

Along with WUCL, Tyler Motorsports and Jason Tyler Racing would like to welcome back all our previous sponsors, Bryant Heating and Cooling Systems by TSI, of Madison WI, Stark Automotive Group, Culvers, Main Street Jewelers, Sundby Ready Mix, Java Jct., Ron’s Body and Welding, Radio Shack, Sunset Limo Service, Barbers Bay Inn, all of Stoughton, WI. Morrison’s Auto Parts, and DNA Bar and Grill, of Edgerton, WI.

I would really like to thank everyone who helped me make this happen. The team and I are going to give 110%, to make this year one to remember and meet all our goals. I am very happy to have the chance to compete with some of the best drivers in the Midwest on a very level playing field, and I am very grateful to have such a great team, sponsor, family, and fans. Thank you all very much!
